Library
At the Castle Rock School we are privileged to have two libraries. Bletchley library is for students in years 7 and 8, the Runnymede library is for students in years 9 to 13. Both libraries provide a wide range of literature, which all students have access to.
Our libraries help to create a culture where reading for pleasure is encouraged and regularly celebrated. There are many benefits of reading for pleasure. Ongoing research into this shows it can help to enrich a child’s awareness of the world and develop empathy. There is also consistent evidence that reading for pleasure promotes a positive mental wellbeing.
General Information
Both libraries are open at break, lunch and afterschool until 4pm. (Fridays 3:30pm)
Students can borrow up to two books at a time for three weeks. Books must be returned or renewed at the library on time.
Book requests are welcome in both libraries, please see either Mrs Reeves (Bletchley) or Mrs Saddington (Runnymede).
